Obama is a Post Turtle

Friday, September 2, 2011 0 comments
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, who's hand was caught in the squeeze gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his role as our president.

The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'Post Turtle.'

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him, what a 'post turtle' was.

The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road

and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle.'

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain.

"You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he's elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there to begin with."

Email of the Week: The Older Folks Remember Freedom and American Exceptionalism

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?

He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens

He did not threaten to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates

He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired

He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around

He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff

He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients

He did not threaten the food stamp programs

He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid

He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters

He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.

P.S. Have you ever noticed that Internet spell checkers don't recognize the word "exceptionalism"? Talk about trying to change the language of freedom!

The Big 0

As in "number of jobs generated in August":

No new net jobs were created in August according to Labor Department figures and the jobless rate remained the same at 9.1%.

At the same time a new Fox News polls showed three out of every five voters say they are disappointed with Obama's handling of the jobs issue.

Republicans immediately jumped on the August figures, the first time since the end of World War II that no new jobs were created in a month. The president, though, made no comment
as he helicoptered out of Washington for a Labor Day weekend at Camp David.

"Today's disappointing unemployment report is further proof that President Obama has failed," presidential candidate Mitt Romney said in a statement released just minutes after the figures were released
.

And there you have the Obamidency in a nutshell: Policies that destroy jobs, lay waste to liberty and prosperity, and their architect, after a long, grueling vacation at Martha's Vineyard and a hard work week of childish partisan jackassery, knocks off early for a long holiday weekend to savor a "wrenchingly transformative" job of destructive sabotage well done.

Kinda raises the bar for his promised economic Red Sea-parting even higher than he has already, huh? Pity for him that he utterly lacks the humility and strength of character and willingness to, yes, put country above party and ideology to offer this speech. That could address the nation's Obamanomic crisis and the only crisis he gives a rat's ass about - his vanishing chances for a second term - at the same time.

Instead, we'll get more of the same crapola:

At a Thursday press briefing, made before the figures were released, White House spokesman Jay Carney said Obama's speech comes at a "an important moment for the American people who are demanding that Washington put an end to the gridlock and bickering that has paralyzed the process here and take action to help the economy, to create jobs, to help them."

"Gridlock" and "bickering" being defined as "refusal to bow down and worship me and obey my every divine commandment." Seems to me it was the American people who elected a Republican House specifically to "paralyze" The One's relentless march of the nation towards bankruptcy and economic ruin. Now we get to watch him whine about it before a joint session of Congress.

Unless you're ready for some football. Or Man vs. Food reruns. Or reorganizing your toenail clippings collection. It's amazing how many leisure options are available when you don't have a job sucking up all your spare time.

Obama Youth. . . Coming for your Kids

The way to change a society into a police state, with as little opposition as possible, is to go through the children. Just ask any dictator in history. . .

Obama's liberal Democrat cronies are looking for ways to change the society through the children through more indoctrination, and allegiance to the government by the children. They do it under the guise of "transforming lives." Well, they are transforming lives, but that is not a good thing, considering the insidious nature of Youth Build, and how it is being used politically to advance the progressive agenda, and change America within into a socialist state.

Here is a video of Obama's minions talking about a program called Youth Build - a Hitler Youth wannabe:

Hypocrisy Buffet

by JASmius

Not that this is any kind of newsflash or anything, but remember how famous Obamunist robber baron Warren Buffet took to the pages of the New York Times to reburnish his hard-left populist street cred by complaining that, gosh darn it, he just isn't paying a sufficiently hefty tax bill and demanding that House Republicans commit political and economic suicide by shafting America's beleagured job-creators with the gargantuan tax rate pillaging that is the stuff of Red Barry's fondest wet dreams?

It appears Buffet's company never got that particular memo:

[I]t turns out that Buffett's own company, Berkshire Hathaway, has had every opportunity to pay more taxes over the last decade. Instead, it's been mired in a protracted legal battle with the Internal Revenue Service over a bill that one analyst estimates may total $1 billion.

Yes, that's right: while Warren Buffett complains that the rich aren't paying their fair share his own company has been fighting tooth and nail to avoid paying a larger share.

The story of Berkshire's years-long tax battle, which is generally known in business circles, took on new life this week when a group called Americans for Limited Government (ALG) reported that, according to Berkshire Hathaway's own annual report, the company is embroiled in an ongoing standoff over its tax bills.

That report, in turn, was cited in an editorial in The New York Post.

"Obvious question: If Buffett really thinks he and his 'mega-rich friends' should pay higher taxes, why doesn't his firm fork over what it already owes under current rates?" the Post opined.

"Likely answer: He cares more about shilling for President Obama -- who's practically made socking "millionaires and billionaires" his re-election theme song -- than about kicking in more himself."

Such two-facedness is almost obligatory. But as tiresomely typical as this reflexive lib perfidy is, it's still useful to cite because it illustrates the core truths of the Left:

1) Greed is not the desire to maximize one's own wealth through hard work, risk-taking, and innovation, but lust after everybody else's wealth and the willingness to do what ever it takes to steal it;

2) Liberals are, accordingly, the greediest bloodsuckers on the face of the planet, and have no desire or intention of living the noble, virtuous life of poverty, misery, and utopian squallor they prescribe for their targeted subjects.

It's been said many times, many ways: If Warren Buffet really thinks he's so grievously undertaxed, then let that sentiment begin with his own steroidal checkbook.

Exit quote from ALG president Bill Wilson: ""On one hand Buffett advocates for paying more taxes, but when it comes to his own company's taxes, he has gone through great lengths to pay less. That's rich."

Quartzsite, Arizona: Mayor Forced Out by Corrupt City Council

The mayor of Quartzsite, Ariz., the town seething in vitriol since police forcibly removed a woman from speaking at a public meeting despite the mayor's objections lost in a recall election last night, but claims the "corrupt" town council fixed the results to force him out.

Mayor Ed Foster of Quartzsite, Ariz., says his town is filled with massive corruption among government officials.

"They found a whole bunch of early ballots they could stuff the box with," said Mayor Ed Foster, telling WND the election was "absolutely" stolen.

Foster says at the polling place, he was winning by a 2-to-1 margin over former Town Councilman and Quartzsite Fire Department Capt. Jose Lizarraga.

But there had been 328 early ballots cast, and 208 of those went to Lizarraga, giving the win to Lizarraga by a final tally of 289 votes to 230.

"There's no doubt about it [being a fixed election]," said Foster. "The early voting was so obscenely different. ... Whether people voted early or late should not have affected the weight of the vote."
